Step 1: Download and Install MT4 Mobile App

Step 2: Log into Your Trading Account
Open the app. Tap "Settings" (gear icon) then "Manage Accounts" > "+" > "Login to an existing account". Enter your broker name, account number, and password. Screenshot: login screen with fields.
Step 3: Understand the Main Interface

Step 4: Open the Symbol List (Quotes Tab)
Tap the "Quotes" tab at bottom left. You see default pairs like EURUSD, GBPUSD. To add more, tap the "+" icon or "Symbols" button (top right usually). Screenshot: Quotes tab with + icon circled.
Step 5: Browse and Add Currency Pairs
You will see categories: Forex, Indices, Commodities, Crypto, Stocks. Tap any category. Scroll to find the symbol you want (e.g., XAUUSD for Gold, USDJPY). Tap the star icon or "Add" next to it. Screenshot: symbol list with star icons for adding.
Step 6: Search for Specific Symbol

Step 7: Remove Unwanted Pairs
Long press on any symbol in Quotes tab. Select "Delete" or tap the star again (filled star means added). Swipe left on some versions. Screenshot: long press menu showing Delete option.
Step 8: Place a Trade from Quotes Tab
Tap any symbol's bid/ask price. Select "New Order". Set volume (lot size), stop loss (SL), take profit (TP). Tap "Buy" or "Sell". Screenshot: order entry screen with volume, SL, TP fields.
Step 9: Modify or Close a Trade from Trade Tab
Tap "Trade" tab (middle bottom). You see open positions. Tap any position. Select "Modify" to adjust SL/TP, or "Close" to exit the trade. Screenshot: open position with Modify and Close buttons.
Step 10: View Account History
Tap "History" tab (rightmost). Choose period: Today, Last Week, Last Month, or Custom. You see closed trades with profit/loss. Green numbers are profit, red are loss. Screenshot: History tab showing closed trades list.
Step 11: Enable Push Notifications
Tap "Settings" (bottom right) > "Notifications". Turn on "Price alerts" and "Trade execution". This keeps you updated even when app is background. Screenshot: Notifications settings with toggles on.
